Reliability as the team’s daily work

A3.Observe connects engineering evidence of an outage with clear communication for customers. Everything is built around your products and resources, not individual URLs.

Why we built it

A team should learn about an outage before a customer writes about it, without drowning in notifications. That is why A3.Observe describes not individual URLs but the products and resources a service is made of, and links checks, alerts, incidents and the status page to them.

Every run keeps the evidence: error code, timings, expected and actual values, region. It stays available after the incident is closed, so the review relies on facts, not on the memory of the on-call shift.

Product principles

  • One source of state

The interface updates in real time, but the API and database remain the source of truth. Reloading the page shows the same as the live stream.

  • Different language for the team and customers

An alert keeps the engineering details, an incident keeps what was told to customers and when. The public page stays calm, and the investigation loses no details.

  • Growth without changing the model

Business, organizations, products and resources are built into the foundation. Going from one service to dozens changes plan limits, not the structure.

Who it is for

  • Operations and SRE teams

Checks of every layer, on-call, escalation and error budget.

  • Product teams

API and browser scenarios, release checks, resource statistics.

  • Support and customer service

A status page, subscriptions and clear updates during an outage.
